Tom and Mary Anne Kruse have seen the growth and changes in this quaint town. They have lived in Marysville since 1971, raising their family in one home, remodeled over time as their family grew, until their recent move to Walker Villas (they are still unpacking boxes!). Tom served on City Council and then as the Mayor of Marysville for 2 terms. Mary Anne was a pediatric nurse and home health care giver for many years. As their lives have changed, so have their needs in a home. A single-story home in a perfect location led them to their new home here in Walker Villas.
I loved the 3 bay windows because I can set up my Santa collection in them for Christmas, as well as using it all year for other things. I had bay windows at our other house, so seeing this home with the bay windows was exactly what I wanted. The size of the house means I won’t be cleaning all day and the size and layout of the rooms is exactly what we were looking for. We like the fact this home has a patio and when we install our hot tub (which they've had the area built for it), it will be perfect for us.
We appreciate all of the conveniences this community offers – no mowing, no raking leaves or exterior maintenance. The location is perfect, the size of the home is what we wanted, and the neighbors are friendly. We have 2 daughters here in Marysville as well. Everyone we spoke with about building our home was patient, congenial, and helpful. We are looking forward to walking on the Walker Meadows community walking path that runs around the neighborhood.
It was a smooth process from beginning to end. We came to see the homes several times and everyone was wonderful. Everyone promptly answered all of our questions, did what we requested, and were patient with us, even when we went to pick out all of our flooring, countertops, and finishes. When they said something was going to happen or we asked for something, it was done and it was done well. The rapport with the builder, the realtors and everyone involved with the build was exceptional. No matter what we wanted, everyone was ready to help us. And because of our experience, we even have friends thinking about selling their home and moving to WalkerVillas.
The great room is cozy and convenient and I know we will spend a good deal of time here. We love the patio and the anticipated hot tub. My husband likes the office and we like the layout of the kitchen. The kitchen has everything we need. We are glad to have everything we need and want on a single floor as well. “We are happy campers!”
