We have lived here for 3 months.
Having previously owned a home built in 1909, the rooms, closets, and everything about the home was small! We love the very large open concept in our new home. One of the features we needed was an outdoor living space, as my husband and I could live outdoors 9-10 months out of the year depending on the crazy Ohio weather. The unique patio area in Walker Villas -- it is like nothing we have seen before. A fire in the fireplace, our television playing our favorite show and soon a privacy screen to be added.
We wanted and desired less maintenance! Our previous home was essentially two separate living spaces, with separate utilities and even more challenging as it was basically two homes to clean!
While we are not retired yet, we want to be ready. The ability to be ready to go when we need to go is important to us. We want to be there for our 2 children who are growing up (Hailey – 22 years and Jackson – 19 years) and are still one day hoping for the opportunity to be grandparents!
We knew what we desired and needed in a home however we had no idea we would find something that had that and more. We moved quickly and our building team moved right with us. They kept us on track and we are grateful as we were able to get in right before the holiday season.
My husband and I come home and at least weekly ask ourselves, “Did we do the right thing?” “What do we miss?” and I can tell you honestly the answer is always “yes” and “we miss nothing”! Memories travel with you so while we raised our two children in the home we left and the only home we owned, we truly have no regrets.
Don’t wait! What makes this community so unique in that there are only so many homes in Walker Villas, so do it now! If you wait, you won’t have a chance to build one and make it your own.
